New Beginnings

My life has changed a lot from the last time we seen each other. I had a baby girl, her name is Aaliyah Desiree Montano. Aaliyah was born Jan. 20 2010 she is now 3 months. We live with my mom. I had tried taking a break from school so I can spend time with my daughter and my boyfriend, but then I realized I was gonna need an education in order to raise my baby. My boyfriend is now looking for a job because a baby sure needs lots of things. We should be getting our own apartment some time next month. Then i can give my baby a good home where she can play and be happy.

New Baby Cuzin

I had a new baby cousin born this week. My favorite cousin Sandra had a baby boy. It was pretty crazy because we were all expecting a girl and she turned out having a boy. She named him Manuel Alejandro Torres. Too Mexican, huh? He is so adorable. He's got the cutest nose, and the smallest feet. She is excited and so am I.

2 ways Lily could have dealt with the situation of Rosaleen being put in jail.

• She could have tried to help Rosaleen avoid that situation and she would have never got put in jail.
• She could have tried to convince the officer somehow to let her go/ talk them out of it!

Little Rock is in the state of Arkansas but also a relatively progressive and southern state.

On September 4Th a crisis erupted for the African-Americans students there governor Orval Faubus called out the National Guard to prevent these students from attending Little Rock Central High School.

The students had excellent grades and were chosen to attend school.

One student who didn't receive the phone call about the danger showed up to school on the first day.

she was arassed by whiteswhen she was outside the school police had to put her in the patrol part to take her away so that they can protect her.

The military personnel then had to escort and carpool nine of the students in there jeeps

Sue Monk Kidd was born and raised in Sylvester, Georgia. where she first wrote her novel '' The Secret Life of Bees". She went to college and majored in nursing and graduated in 1970 with a B.S degree. In her twenties she worked as a registered nurse. At this time she also married a man named Sanford Kidd and had two kids named Bob and Ann. In her thirties she lived in South Carolina, she enrolled in writing classes wanting to write fiction, and she then began a career as a freelancer. She published lots of articles, magazines, newspapers and journals.

The hardest thing I ever had to do is to eccept that my grandma has past away. She was very sick when she lived with us. Me and my sister took care of her. She was a cranky women but also filled with joy. When she died I couldn't tell myself what was going on. I keep thinking to myself that it wasn't true that I was just dreaming. But after days go by I realize she wasn't with me anymore. And it was the hardest thing I ever had to do.

20 Years from now

I am a 38 year old women living in Florida. I own a 5 bedroom home for me, my husband, my mother, and my 3 kids. I pay my own bills, and I own a small business that my mother and my sister help me run. I am also a counselor. I own a nice car and can afford to buy my mother and sister one as well. My home was built for me. Its my dream home. My husband helped built it. Its a 2 story home with 5 bed rooms. Each room with a built in restroom, and a shower of its own. In my room there is an extra room. I use that for a place to just spend some time for myself. I have the biggest walk in closet. It even looks like I can make it in to a room, but its to packed with all my cloths and shoes that I love. The kids each have there own room. I have a 3 year old, a 5 and a 10 year old. 2 boys and a girl. My living room is made out to be a place where every one can just hang out and spend time with each other. I have a pool in the back, a basketball court and a small yard to finish it off.
